Last week we discussed the common issue of chronic levitating, where we find ourselves unable to switch off our minds and relax. This can lead to exhaustion and a lack of restful sleep. I shared some tips on how to break this cycle and restore balance to our lives. One of the suggestions was to get moving, and today I’d like to dive deeper into one of my favorite exercises – the Cross Crawl.

Cross-crawl exercises involve movements that use opposition, such as crawling, walking, running, and swimming. The key is to coordinate the right arm and left leg, and then the left arm and right leg. These movements promote coordination and spatial awareness, and in turn, anchor a mind-body connection. Most importantly, they help to synchronize both sides of the brain, resulting in improved balance and coordination.

As a Transformation Life Coach and healer, I incorporate cross-crawl movements into my practice. When I need a quick break between sessions, I’ll stand up and perform a series of cross-crawl movements. For example, I’ll raise my right knee and tap it with my left elbow, and then do the same on the other side. I repeat this set about 15 times, rest, and then do another set. I typically do about 3 sets each time.

These movements are simple yet effective. They take only a few minutes, and the benefits are immediate. I feel more energized and connected after performing them. I encourage my clients to try cross-crawl movements as a way to shift their energy and improve their focus.

Incorporating cross-crawl exercises into your daily routine can help you achieve a more balanced, centered state of being. It’s a great way to break free from the cycle of chronic levitating and improve your overall well-being.
