Today I have a question for you: When did you feel most like yourself in the last few days? This question was posed to me recently and got me thinking about all the moments in my life when I may not have felt entirely like myself.
At first, I questioned whether I was truly myself during everyday activities like doing household chores or rushing through a yellow light. But then, I slowed down and allowed myself to contemplate what it means to feel most like myself.
I eventually landed on a moment where I was walking with my aging dog, Havava. Despite her arthritis slowing us down, I found myself fully present and taking in the beauty around us – the blooming trees, the chirping birds, and the sun’s warmth on our backs. I felt utterly safe, settled, and in my body at that moment. I felt my love of life bubbling within me. That felt most like me; the me, I enjoy experiencing and embodying.
I also asked my son the same question, and he shared that he felt most like himself while watching the TV show Top Chef with me. When I asked him why, he said, “It’s because we used to do it before.” I recognized that shared experiences and togetherness brought us a sense of safety, relaxation, and nourishment.
So, when was the last time you felt most like yourself? I would love to hear your thoughts and experience
Take care beloveds, and see you in all your beautiful dimensions!
Love,
Navjit
